Queenstown Arts Society Exhibition - The Mountain Remembers
I have submitted 2 Limited Edition Framed A3 prints into the Queenstown Arts Society Exhibition, “The Mountain Remembers”.
I selected the images based on the brief of the exhibition:
“The Mountain Remembers invites artists to explore place, time, memory and transformation. Geological time. Personal and collective memory. Environmental change. Whakapapa. Myth. Resilience. The quiet persistence of landscape.”
The opening night 20th August 2026, 6:30-8:30pm.
The exhibition then runs 21 August - 18 September 2026, 9am-5pm (Sundays 10am-4pm)
TAMRON 2026 Photo Competition
I am thrilled to be announced as a runner-up in the TAMRON 2026 Photo Competition, with one of my entries being selected by the judges to be in the Top 10 from over 1000 entries.
The prize was an A3 framed print of the image, provided by Epson NZ.
I’m looking forward to it arriving and finding somewhere to hang it on the wall!

Pūteketeke at the Wānaka nesting boxes
I recently bought a new telephoto lens, and keen to test it out, I headed down to the Pūteketeke nesting boxes in Wānaka.
It turned out to be a good choice. There was plenty of activity, including nest building and territorial scraps.

Lunar Eclipse and Blood Moon, September 2025
It was an early start, with the lunar eclipse starting just before 5am, and the blood moon setting over Mount Roy by 6:30am. Luckily the sky over Wānaka was clear, and it timed well so that it all happened before dawn.
With my camera on a tripod, I took a series of photos as the moon went through the different phases.
